'Sid' (possibly to his friends anyway) later chose to leave the 'royal household', so to speak - in order to live amongst, and get to know more about, common people, apparently...
Such a journey through life led him (at a much later date presumably) to become what is most readily known as 'Enlightened' (apparently on a 'Full Moon day', like today in fact), whence he became known as 'the Buddha', apparently - so, who knows, 'never say never' eh...
