As an addendum to the/my 'Syd 'Boy' Barrett' blog, i would like to add the following...
In my mind it was to be Syd's turn, so to speak/Interact, on Saturday...
However, on Saturday morning it was agreed that 'AMG' should come to the front of the queue first - and that this would be followed by 'P' ('P' was absolutely fine with 'AMG' going before Himself btw (a true and completely understanding Gentleman - from my perspective, at the very least))...
So yesterday (Sunday) i decided that it would be exclusively Syd's day - as a sort of gesture of compensation, if you will...
Anyway, come Sunday morning, i first went for an early morning walk, then took care of Rocky's needs, before attending to my own...
I then got a few things out of my mind, by attending to them also - before moving on to Syd, so to speak...
Anyway, (from my own personal perspective, at least) Syd was beginning to get a little impatient (to the point where He was going to call it a day, so to speak) as i was in the middle of attending to my last 'out of my mind' 'preoccupation'...
I patiently relayed to Syd that such a delay wasn't because i didn't particularly want to accommodate His needs, but rather, it was a preparatory measure, in order that my mind would be clear of any potentially hindering thoughts, as i wanted to do Him justice...
Anyway, in the event, my mind felt more settled half-way through such a final 'preoccupation' - so i put it aside and attended to Syd's needs, with a cleared and relaxed mind...
Sometime after our time together Syd came to mind with a bit of an 'edge' to him- and called me 'lad' - within a spoken sentence that i can't remember the details of...
Anyway, my slightly 'tongue-in-cheek' response was, 'you better be careful or i might come looking for you, whilst in my sleep-state - to which a somewhat belligerent Syd replied, 'do it'...
Which, again somewhat 'tongue-in-cheek', caused me to think that he may be a bit 'andy - and that was the end of such a/an, what for me constituted a somewhat humorous, Interaction...
Anyway, sometime later (during a second walkies, if my memory serves me correctly), a seemingly more humbled Syd Returned and apologised...
If i remember correctly He simply said 'I'm sorry about that'...
To which i readily replied, 'that's okay - i'd quite like to be your friend anyway'...
And that was the end of it...
However, a very short time later, i Heard the words, 'He won't be back again'...
To which i said 'okay' and then, with a certain sadness, questioned such a seemingly strict pronouncement...
To which i was simply told, 'He was being disrespectful'...
Strange perhaps, but once again, completely true also - given that my somewhat admittedly dodgy memory serves me correctly...
And from my own personal perspective, of course...
